GROW Template

Engineers/Creatives love to identify problems and create solutions to solve those problems. 

The issue we ALL tend to be guilty of, is to jump straight to the solution and rapidly start to build that solution.  In the commercial world this can be disastrous, but for the home-maker community it can lead to expensive 'mistakes', time wasted, dead-ends, and does not encourage collaboration through buy-in and understanding.

It is a hard habit to break!

The GROW Model can be used to break that habit and when used by an individual leads to clarity of thinking and a much better solution.  When used in collaboration groups, like ours, it leads to a much better outcome for all.

What, Who, When, Where & How?

 I'd advise using Agile framework here

  • Breakdown into Epics, Stories, Tasks and Sub-tasks
  • Determine acceptance criteria
  • Prioritise
  • Identify your MVP (at least)
  • Work on the task in hand - no distraction from future obstacles!
